You can use DutySheet's email management system to compose new emails, continue draft emails, and see your sent emails.
It's easy to select recipients and attach documents to your emails too.
Send a new email
⚠️ Important: Before you send an email, you have to have at least one email address in the My Details section, and select one of them as Send Emails From.
All emails are sent individually to each recipient so no recipient will see who other recipients are.
Use the BCC field to send an email to a recipient and let them know they were copied into the email alongside the intended recipient.
Anyone in the BCC field will see [This email was sent to the following users, you were copied in for information] added to the end of the email message.
Follow these steps to start composing a new email:
Click Compose New.
You've now created a draft email, which is saved automatically every 60 seconds. You can also manually save your draft by clicking Save Email.
Click To: to add recipients to your email.
Search for recipients using the following:
Name: Start typing the name of the recipient. First and last name matches appear automatically. You don't need to use wildcard symbols.
Rank: You can search ranks by their full title or abbreviation. For example, you can search for Special Constable or SC. Ranks vary from organisation to organisation.
Location: Start typing the name of a location and any matches will appear.
Distribution Groups: Coming soon.
Advanced Search: To bring up a window where you can select recipients by location, IP, and skills filters, click Advanced Search next to the search box.
Once the matching recipients are shown in the To: field, you can click on a name to remove it. For example, you might want to email all users at a location, but omit someone specific.
Compose your email and add any attachments, if you have the right permissions to do so.
Attachments are limited to common file types, and a size of five MB (megabytes).
Select the acknowledgement checkbox and click Send Email.
A confirmation message displays when your email is sent.
📌 Note: All emails are queued in our email gateway and sent very quickly but if there is a large number of emails it may take some time for the recipients to get the emails.
