Turn on parent/guardian consent for a cadet who is over the age of 18

This article explains how to enable parent or guardian consent for cadets over 18 by removing their date of birth from their profile.

Parent or guardian consent is normally required for cadets under 18.

DutySheet does not currently offer a vulnerable adult flag for cadets. If you need to activate consent for a cadet who is over 18, follow this workaround.

Require parent or guardian consent for adult cadets

  1. Edit the cadet’s profile.

  2. Remove the date of birth from their user details.

  3. DutySheet will treat the cadet as underage and require parent or guardian consent.
